Product Description:

The AF-24 Series Aerodynamic Mud Flaps by Fleet Engineers, also known as Tramec Sloan, are designed to improve fuel efficiency and safety on the road. These mud flaps are 36 inches long and 24 inches wide, making them suitable for traditional dual tire configurations on semi trucks. Their unique pattern channels airflow in different directions, reducing drag and saving fuel by up to .5 - 1%. In addition to improving fuel efficiency, the AF-24 flaps also reduce spray by not atomizing water droplets, creating a safer driving environment for all. These mud flaps eliminate the need for anti-sail brackets and vent excess heat from tires and brakes, reducing maintenance costs. They are also compatible with the U.S. EPA's Smartway Program for truck and trailer aerodynamics.

How to Install:

To install the AF-24 Aerodynamic Mud Flaps on your semi truck, follow these steps:

  1. Gather all necessary tools and supplies. You will need a socket set, torque wrench, drill, drill bits, and any mounting hardware provided with the mud flaps.

  2. Locate the mounting points for the mud flaps on the truck's frame. These will usually be located near the rear wheels.

  3. If necessary, drill holes in the truck's frame to match the mounting holes on the mud flaps.

  4. Attach the mud flaps to the truck using the provided mounting hardware. Make sure to use the appropriate torque values as specified in the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. Test the mud flaps to ensure they are securely mounted and functioning properly.

  6. Repeat the above steps for the other side of the truck, if applicable.

When to Replace:

It is important to regularly inspect the AF-24 Aerodynamic Mud Flaps for any signs of wear or damage. They should be replaced as needed to ensure maximum efficiency and safety on the road. It is also a good idea to replace the mud flaps if they become severely worn or damaged.
